Primary activities relating to ACT Assess & Connect
Liesbeth is a member of the Scientific Advisory Group, which supports the work of the Global Bone Health Initiative through providing independent expert advice, including specific help with the development of the ACT Assess and Connect tool for bone health features. The Group is chaired by Professor Finbarr Martin.
MORE ABOUT LIESBETH BORGERMANS
Dr Liesbeth Borgermans holds a master’s degree in Medical Social Sciences and Hospital Management (1993). In 2010 she obtained the degree of Doctor in Medical Sciences. She works as a Professor of Chronic Care at the Department of Family Medicine of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium.
Dr Borgermans’s policy, research and practice interests cover a wide range of fields, including integrated care, chronic care management, primary care, and community care. She has consulted with the Federal Ministry of Health in Belgium for more than six years as well as other national policy and commissioning bodies, foundations, think tanks, and provider organizations. She also serves as a consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO) in the context of the development of the Regional Action Framework on Integrated Care. Liesbeth currently leads research and policy recommendations for EU FP7 Project INTEGRATE. Liesbeth serves on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Integrated Care and is member of the Board of the International Foundation for Integrated Care.
