MORE ABOUT KAREN WINDLE
Professor Karen Windle is a Professor in Applied Research, Integrated Care for the Integrated Care Academy. Karen will be providing research and evaluative support across the ICA, delivering a range of research programmes across End of Life, Older People’s Care and Mental Health.
Professor Windle has over 25 years of experience in health, social care and third sector research. Her research has led to national and international standing, with findings and outputs having profound impact on national and local policy and practice. For example, findings from two recent National evaluations directly influenced the shape and type of the support provided during Covid-19, with two further research programmes ‘launched’ by the Secretary of State for Health and the Minister for Care and Support.
Prior to joining the University of Suffolk, Karen was Director of Health and Social Care at NatCen Social Research, while her previous roles encompassed Professor of Ageing at the University of Stirling and Reader in Health at the University of Lincoln.
