Research activities relating to the ACTTM Assessment approach: In Pakistan, 15 million people are ≥ 60 years, thus represents 7% of the country’s total population. It is expected that by 2050, the population of old age will be double. With the rise in aged population, demand for healthcare system will increase. Pakistan is already facing burden of chronic diseases, with limited qualified healthcare force, fragile and fragmented healthcare system. Thus, it is high time to find possible healthcare solutions for aged population by initiating culture-specific research activities, so they have a good quality life and can contribute to society.
