Primary activities relating to ACT Assess & Connect
Maw Pin’s students have explored the ACT Assess & Connect approach among Malaysians in the geriatrics outpatient setting and community-dwelling older adults.
Maw Pin is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Group, which supports the work of the Global Bone Health Initiative through providing independent expert advice, including specific help with the development of the ACT Assess & Connect tool for bone health features. The Group is chaired by Professor Finbarr Martin.

Maw Pin is Professor in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Malaya. She has been Principal Investigator of several falls studies, including MyFAIT, LiAF and OSFOP and of Promoting Independence in Our Seniors with Arthritis (PISA) cohort and is currently PI for the multi-institutional ageing research programme, AGELESS. She also holds editing roles in PLOS ONE and Frontiers in Medicine and is founder of ACT4Health Sdn Bhd, a spin-off company to disseminate local research.
